Crypto.com and Coca Cola (NYSE: KO) have launched NFT artworks based on the 2022 FIFA World Cup, according to a press release from the cryptocurrency exchange.

The collaboration will see the Crypto.com blockchain host 10,000 NFTs based on player “heatmap” during matches, and will capture unique moments such as team attacks, tackles and goal at the Qatar World Cup. The companies are also working with renowned NFT artist GMUNK.

The Coca Cola “Piece of Magic” NFTs

According to Crypto.com, fans can win one of the Coca-Cola “Piece of Magic ” NFTs by signing up for Crypto.com NFT platform account and registering on the Coca-Cola Fanzone page.

Crypto.com Chief Marketing Officer Steven Kalifowitz said the NFTs will help capture the passion and magic of the global football tournament. Kalifowitz noted that its first time the FIFA World Cup has leveraged Web3 technology.

Commenting on the new collaboration with Coca Cola and GMUNK’s input into making the magical artworks, he added:

“It’s a privilege to partner with Coca-Cola and GMUNK to memorialize these historical matches that will forever be captured on the blockchain. Together we are creating a completely new form of memorabilia.”

The Crypto.com native token Cronos (CRO) rose on the NFT news, hitting highs of $0.07507 with a 10%+ surge. However, the cryptocurrency has since pared some of the gains and is currently trading at $0.06674 amid potential profit booking.

The Coca Cola stock, on the other hand, closed at $63.47 on Monday, about 1.37% down on the day. The KO shares were however 6.69% up over the past month and 7.03% up year-to-date.
