Streaming platform MasterClass has announced a cryptocurrency and blockchain class that will be taught by some of the leading experts and personalities in the industry.
A press release obtained by Invezz shows that one of the leading voices to teach the new class will be Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao, the founder and CEO of Binance.
As we previously highlighted, Binance is one of the companies looking to help millions of people learn about cryptocurrency. Last month, the exchange unveiled free online courses for blockchain and Web3. In this latest endevour to provide further crypto education, Zhao joins three other experts from within the crypto space and economics.
According to today’s announcement, the crypto-focused class will see the four experts delve into a wide range of topics as they look to share and inspire.
MasterClass founder and CEO David Rogier, in a comment, pointed out that crypto and blockchain can be disruptive technologies – particulary for the financial system. He also added in a statement:
“With the landscape rapidly changing every day, we’re bringing together the industry’s key voices to help members gain a foundational understanding of the crypto and blockchain ecosystem. Beyond today’s headlines, the lessons of the class will help members gain insight into the system’s past and potential future to help them decide how and if they want to invest in this space.”
Coinbase COO also among the experts
Other than the Binance CEO, others set to grace the MasterClass crypto class are Coinbase president and COO Emilie Choi, Andreessen Horowitz founder and general partner Chris Dixon and Prof. Paul Krugman, an author, New York Times columnist and Nobel Prize winner.
This group of eminent personalities will share their perspectives on crypto, including its history, where the nascent industry is today and what opportunities and risks abound going into the future.
Specifically, the experts will cover topics such as the origin of crypto, Web3, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs), and stablecoins. Also to feature will be regulation and evolution of currency.
The MasterClass platform brings together the best of the world’s minds across various industries and fields, offering members to learn and draw inspiration from experts’ knowledge and stories. There are currently more than 180 instructors and classes on MasterClass, cutting across arts & entertainment, business, design & style, and sports & gaming.
